Geek Test on DeVry's Geek to Chic Site

Check out DeVry's Geek to Chic site!

A couple weeks ago, I was contacted by the agency in charge of a mini-site for DeVry University, who asked for permission to use the Geek Test. At first I was hesitant, but they clarified that the intention was to maintain a positive spin on geeks. So I said yes, and even formulated the first-ever abridged version of the test for them.

They took self-proclaimed geek students and gave them makeovers and, I assume, advice for making it in the mainstream world.

Just remember, kids: Don't give up who you are to make it in the mainstream world.

For example, if I had stayed quiet about my geekiness I might not have discovered the geeky side of a few of my coworkers! Now I'm loud and proud and it makes me feel better to know that I'm being true to myself. Also, I can freely gush about Heroes, action figures, Pi Day, etc. Can I tell a secret? Sometimes I like the weird looks that non-geeks give me. Hee hee.
